How to set up a fiber optic transmission main sub-router

Step 1: Gather Equipment

  • Optical Network Terminal (ONT): Converts fiber optic light signals into electrical signals for your network .

  • Sub-Routers or Access Points: Devices to extend network coverage. Can be wired or mesh-enabled.
  • Fiber Optic Cables: SC/APC or SC/UPC connectors for connecting the ONT.
  • Ethernet Cables (CAT6 or higher): For linking ONT to main router and main router to sub-routers .
