  • Each cabinet or rack should be individually connected to the Mesh Common Bonding Network (MCBN) to maintain uniform electrical potential .
  • Grounding systems should prevent electrical surges, protect personnel from shock, and reduce the risk of fire or equipment damage . 5. Material Considerations:
  • Metal doors (steel, aluminum) always require grounding.
  • Non-metallic doors generally do not require grounding unless they have metallic frames or hinges . 6. Installation Tips:
  • Keep grounding wires snug but not stretched.
  • Avoid using mounting bolts or hinges as the sole grounding path.
  • Inspect connections to ensure low-resistance bonding and compliance with NEBS Level 3 criteria for critical environments .
